IB Physics Practice

Build a topic-based IB Physics practice session

Use Practice when you know what you want to work on: interpreting a velocity–time graph, choosing a conservation law, or explaining a circuit measurement. Select your level and topics, then use the available question count, difficulty and paper filters to keep the session focused. The question mix depends on the selected scope and available material.

Attempt the questions before reading feedback. Keep your diagram, equation choice, rearrangement and units in your working so that you can identify where a solution went wrong. A correct number from the wrong model needs a different repair from a correct method with a unit-conversion error.

Build and review a manageable practice set

  1. Select your course scope

Choose SL or HL and a topic you have studied. A shared topic can contain additional HL requirements, so check the selected level before starting.

  2. Target one error pattern

Choose topics and question types that exercise the skill you want to improve. Check the questions themselves: the filters do not label every possible error pattern.

  3. Retry after correcting the method

Check the feedback, write a short correction and attempt another relevant question. Mix topics when you can identify the physical model without a prompt.

Physics practice FAQs

The Question Bank lets you browse syllabus topics and inspect available questions and answer guidance. Practice assembles a session from your chosen settings. Browse first if you need to locate a particular topic; use a session when you are ready to attempt a set.

Yes. Choose the level you are studying in the course selector. It determines the syllabus scope; the questions and actions available still follow your account access and the material available for that selection.

No. It is a selected practice set, not an official paper or a guarantee of the topic distribution in a future examination. Use our Physics SL or HL course page to check the assessment format.

Inspect the working before choosing a larger set. Separate model selection, algebra, units, graph reading and explanation errors. Revisit the relevant objective and try a related question after fixing the specific issue.
